Partnering in Your Professional and Personal Growth...
It is a pleasure to connect with you.

and contact me directly with any other questions: info@vzhpsychtherapy.com
What can I expect during our first session?
Think of our first session as a high-level consultation. We’ll dive straight into what’s currently standing in your way. We will discuss your history, but our primary focus will be on your current "pain points"—whether that’s burnout, high-stakes decision fatigue, or the isolation that often comes with work demands and leadership. By the end of the hour, we will have a preliminary roadmap for our work together.
How does the intake process go?
It is simple. Upon scheduling the first session, you will receive two forms to sign and send back: 1) A one-page Informed Consent and 2) a two-page Intake Form. During the first encounter, I will collect the remaining data pertaining to your psychobiosocial profile. You will have an internal personal chart and direct access to your digital portal in my HIPAA-compliant practice platform.
How do you handle privacy and discretion?
Anonymity is paramount. My practice is fully HIPAA-compliant, and I utilize secure, encrypted platforms for all digital communication and billing. Whether we meet at my Rialto Blvd office or via a secure telehealth link, your professional reputation and personal privacy are protected by the highest legal and ethical standards.
How do we manage appointments?
I work specifically with high-impact professionals and understand that "9 to 5" doesn't always exist in your world. I offer a streamlined online portal for easy scheduling and rescheduling. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy to maintain the integrity of the practice, I strive to offer flexibility where possible to ensure your mental health support remains a consistent part of your routine.
What is your "therapeutic style" for leaders and professionals?
My approach is collaborative and direct. While traditional therapy often focuses solely on the "what," I integrate a “why” and "how-to" framework. We will look at the root causes of your stress, but we will also develop tactical tools for emotional regulation, assertive communication, boundary setting, and cognitive resilience that you can apply in the boardroom or at home immediately.
How much are your sessions?
My standard fee for individual therapy is $210 per 50-to-60-minute session. For those participating in group therapy, the fee is $90 per person for each 90-minute session. I am committed to expanding access to quality mental healthcare and set aside a set number of weekly hours for pro bono or sliding-scale clients. For organizations looking to support their teams, corporate consulting and employee benefit programs are quoted separately, with custom packages developed based on specific needs and the scope of the request.
Do you accept insurance?
No. I do not work with insurance companies to ensure maximum privacy and clinical autonomy. Before booking an appointment, I suggest calling your insurance and inquiring about "out-of-network" therapy benefits and how to submit reimbursement requests.
Do you provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement?
Yes. While I do not bill insurance companies directly, I provide monthly Superbills upon request. These are detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider or Health Savings Account (HSA) for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend calling your provider to ask about "out-of-network behavioral health benefits" before we begin.
What is your cancellation policy?
To provide the highest level of service and maintain availability for all clients, I require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or requests to reschedule. If an appointment is cancelled or moved with less than 24 hours' notice, or if a session is missed for any non-emergency reason, a late cancellation fee of $85 will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
How long will the therapeutic process last?
The duration of our work together is highly individualized and depends on your specific goals and the complexity of the challenges we are addressing. My clinical approach is designed to be efficient; many clients find that short-term therapy (approximately 8 to 12 sessions) is effective for addressing immediate hurdles or specific skill-building. Others may find that extended therapy is necessary to navigate deeper, long-standing patterns. While I cannot predict the exact length of the process or guarantee a specific outcome, my ultimate goal is to help you move toward self-reliance and sufficiency.
How do you handle crises?
My practice is specifically designed for high-functioning individuals navigating mild-to-moderate emotional, behavioral, and social constraints. My office is not equipped to provide emergency psychiatric services or intensive crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or a mental health crisis, please do not wait for a scheduled session. You should immediately call 911, dial or text the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. These resources are available 24/7 to provide the immediate, specialized stabilization required in an acute crisis..
